DGCA new "250 hour" rule implementation

Recently the Indonesian DGCA announced a new rule regarding the hiring of foreigners by Indonesian companies. Apparently all foreigners need a minimum of 250 hours on the type they are being hired to fly before a Indonesian license can be issued. This only applies to Part 121 operators and NOT Part 135 (Susi Air). So you can keep on applying and hopefully get an interview!

  1. I got the mail from susi air asking me to fill out the questionaire and send the copy of my licenses and other documents.

Surprisingly when i sent them the filled questionaire and documents copy i got a mail from them in within 24 hours that they have received my documents and will add my name to the selection list.

How long do i have to wait now to get a call for the initial interview.

I sent them the questionaire on 2 march 2013, got a reply on 3 march that they have my docs and will let me know abt interview date.

    Any help will be appreciated.

  2. Same thing here as above, once I heard from them communication seemed rather swift.
However, I wonder how long it will take this time as there are rumours of no hires in March. Rumours might be just that though, any insights Oh Great Dane? ;)

  3. Same here, but in the email body there's nothing about "interview" and "dates", i think it's more of an automated message.
