MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012
Wishing all former, current and prospective pilots a happy holiday season, and looking forward to a brighter 2013 with more hours and opportunities for everyone!
Any intel on when/if new interviews will be conducted? Sent an email to all contacts listed on this blog, containing an application and CV. Any hope for a CPL IR ME-SE 311 hours, 23 years old you think? I do have a CFII and a CFI but 5 months waiting for a Social security number in the US meant I never got to work before my visa expired.
Yeah I should think you are in with a chance with that kind of experience. Be patient as it sometimes takes a long time for HR to get back to all the applicants.
I am looking for more details on the sim session during the interview. Is it typically the same scenario or does it vary? Could you please share the scenario you had (procedures, approaches, etc)?
Usually the sim check is performed on either the C172 G1000 or the generic Piper Arrow simulator.
Expect an instrument departure, a return to join the hold and then a VOR approach followed by an ILS. Sometimes they make you do a DME arc on to the ILS so just make sure you remember how to do this.
Thanks for the reply buddy, I just hope they get back to me like... ever. Sent the first application in November, and again in early Jan. No reply. Is there still a tendency of utter chaos within HR?
Happy New Year and greetings from Norway!

Hope it helps
DME arcs. Gotta love them. Twist and turn. Twist and turn. Have done more than I care to remember, in the sim and in the plane.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for the reply Frederik. Very helpful. Hope I get the C172 G1000 if I get that far. Would feel just like "home".
